Full strip-out, rewaterproofed, floor and walls retiled
Old brick recess stripped back to structure, rewaterproofed to Australian Standards and finished in large-format gloss tile with a new tub surround.

The brief
The original bathroom had a failed shower membrane behind the exposed brick recess, visible on the wall above the tub. Rather than patch around it, the client asked for a full strip-out and reset so the wet area would be waterproofed properly from the substrate up.
We removed the old tiling and lining back to brick and slab, re-plumbed the shower rough-in, and rebuilt the wet area to AS 3740 before any tile went down.
