The brief
A narrow side path running from the garage down the side of the house had been left as bare aggregate concrete. The client wanted a striking finish that would turn a purely functional walkway into a feature.
After confirming the pattern and tile choice on site, we laid a full black and white checkerboard tile the length of the path, set out square to the garage and fence lines.
What we did
Site setout — pattern and tile position confirmed on the existing concrete before laying.
Surface preparation — concrete path prepared for a level, adhered tile bed.
Tiling — black and white large-format tile laid in a true checkerboard pattern, full length of the path.
Finishing — grout lines finished consistent, edges cut clean against the garage and fence.
